Parochial church of San Pedro Apostle:
Located in center of Throat, data of end of century XV, although its history goes back to those of the Brotherhoods of the Virgin and San Isidro, who already existed one hundred years before. Cofrades that went to the hermitage of San Isidro, in the near town of Ferreros (today disappeared), decided to raise this church before the deterioration that presented/displayed the one that guarded the image of the Virgin.
The church owns three ships, separated by means arcs point. Although its style could be described like Byzantine as a whole, are also appraised gothic, Romance and baroque elements. In the oldest part it emphasizes the greater chapel, cover with a vault of crucería, and mainly the tower, located on the feet of the building. This tower, of great proportions with respect to the rest of the temple, is of three bodies and counts on eight means arcs point in its part superior, that let glimpse the bell tower.
Unfortunately, during the war of Independence and the Civil War the structure of the building was deteriorated seriously they undressed and it of the unique pieces that in their interior were conserved during centuries: stature Romance of Virgin (the one that was adored in Ferreros), the parochial file and objects of silver. But, between the treasures that still keep, we found the baptismal battery and the one of the blessed water, as old as the own town of Throat.
Church of Our Lady of the Pillar
Constructed in center of the Cuadrón in stone, brick and wood, of his style it is possible to be said that he is humble and simple, preparation for the cult of a small population.
One did not rise until year 1925 on the initiative of the teacher of the town, happening to have the rank of parochial in 1953. Until then, the inhabitants of this small population nucleus did not have a place where to express their faith, having themselves that to move in long long walks to the churches of San Silvestre (town today disappeared) or of San Pedro, in Throat. Like curiosity, during the Civil War he transformed himself into kitchen of the republican troops.
Hermitage of Our Lady of the Meadows
This hermitage, although of new construction, has an historical origin and is of great value for the neighbors. It was possible to be raised thanks to the contributions and the dedication of the members of the Association of the Virgin, being obtained to inaugurate in 1998, after 350 years to try to reconstruct it.
The great devotion towards this Virgin goes back to the supposed miracles that happened in Throat in the years in which the bubonic plague was fattened with its neighbors: according to the legend, the disease left the town two months before to the rest of the region.
The present hermitage is in the place where formerly a chapel in honor to the Virgin of the Meadows was based, of century XVII, disappeared at the beginning of the XIX. Its construction has recovered traditions like the Romería of the Virgin of the Meadows.
Colts to shoe of Throat and the Cuadrón
Both colts to shoe that still they are conserved, one in the Place of San Pedro de Garganta and the other in the Cuadrón, give sample of the cattle origin of the municipality. They were used to hold to the cattle when it had to them to shoe or when it had to them to realise one cures.
